About Me
Hi everyone. My name is Clare and I live in North Norfolk with my family, dog and four cats.
I trained as a early years teacher back in 1997 and gained a B.Ed. (Hons) degree from Liverpool John Moore's University. I have a breadth of teaching
experience working in different local authorities and have held senior
leadership roles in schools. My expertise and passion lies in early years.
I have worked for the past 20 years as a education advisor for Norfolk Children's Services supporting the education of children in care and have a personal
interest in developmental trauma and attachment.
I hold a MSc in Children's and Adolescent Mental Health and Psychological Practice from the University of Edinburgh and hold a PT Certificate in
Therapeutic Play Skills from Leeds Beckett University.
I am the Eastern region hub lead for the Association of infant Mental Health (AIMH) and have been part of their executive committee for a number of years. I am passionate about promoting and supporting positive mental health and wellbeing in children.

My approach.
- Child-centred and developmentally informed
- Trauma-aware and relationship-based
- Calm, compassionate and practical
- Focused on building confidence and capacity
I work collaboratively, taking time to understand each child, family or setting before deciding what support will be most helpful.
How I Work
I aim to offer support that feels thoughtful, respectful and manageable.
My work is:
- Relationship-based and child-centred
- Reflective rather than prescriptive
- Grounded in real-world practice
- Supportive of parents and professionals, not judgemental
Whether I am working therapeutically with a child, consulting with a team, or delivering training, my focus is always on helping people feel more confident and less alone.
